Schubert composed the original lyrics in German as part of Ellens Dritter Gesangen. It was based on Sir Walter Scott's poem, Lady of the Lake. It's frequently heard in Latin, but that version is not based on the original lyrics.
The great Dame Janet is indeed singing the the original German text as set by the very great Franz Schubert. The accompanist is the equally great Gerald Moore, known as the 'King of Accompanists'. So there you have it: the coming together of three great musicians to give the ultimate rendition of one of the most sublime pieces of music in existence. It doesn't get much better then that.
Yes she is indeed. And she's british. does anybody know where her rendition af Händel's Ombra Mai Fu has gone? Iat was here some monhs ago, but now I can't find it. Has somebody taken it?
The great Janet is not singing this in the 'original' german. This was a poem by Walter Scott, and , therefore, was originally in english. Hear an equally great singer, John McCormack, do so. It's on Youtube somewhere.
Schubert and Russian religious Arts excellently describe MOM'S Dignity in full. Schubert elegantly composed the song. The Arts are very beautiful. They indicate the Russians are very solid in Faith. The singer nicely adds Its Importance to the audience with her Angelic voices. MOM is the Best creature DAD can do. MOM Cares of US and Loves US Most. At CANA MOM thought of US before JESUS. Now MOM thinks of US before DAD. Whre MOM is, MOM saves US. Shouldn't we think of MOM days and nights? Thanks.
