DR WHO Rendition No.3
For this version I really wanted to take the Drums away & just concentrate on sound. I used this as an opportunity to become acquainted with the 'Wobbulator Organ' bass effect! For the Main Haunt, I sculpted a sound that was similar to Keff's haunt, but with an increased Grind to it, & I added a covert flutter to it's fade.
I liked the Idea of having little sounds dotted here & there, so I gave that ago as well. It becomes very apparent in the last 8 Bars.
The Middle 8 was a tad tricky, as I wanted it to take the pace down a notch to re-initiate the build up again for the finale, & yet it is an excitable section of the DW theme by default!
Anyway, I tried my best! I hope you like it! Please feel free to add comments. It's YOU; the fans I want to hear from!

Remember, this is simply for fun & I am in no way trying to compete with Delia Derbyshire's Masterpiece. I am a mere musician & am in no way affiliated with the BBC. All rights reserved KINDLE Productions 2009©

If anyone has an Idea for a DW Version, please feel free to comment. You may not be a Musician, but fans are always passionate people. And I respect that. However, I can honestly say that I dislike the New Series & Murray Gold's DW Theme Tune. Therefor please refrain from requesting a cover of that song. I will NOT dissect beloved Delia's Original

A Big Thank you to Cbatt & Tony Lopez.

  • That's awesome! there's a sweetness to the older theme I really miss (or maybe I'm just old and nostalgic :P)

  • @M0U53B41T No, you ARE Quite correct! The Original still has ppl scratching their heads today; How DID She do it? See, You don't need an entire Orchestra with Phasing Brass, Over-Powering Strings, etc when the essence of the Dr Who theme is in it's simplicity. Delia was an AMAZING person. If you listen to her other works, you become enriched by her lessons. I Owe everything to her.

  • It sounds like a remix of the 7th doctor's theme. Which is my favourite so I'm gonna like this one to.

  • @legomailman Well done. The Haunt was based on Keff's Growling 'Haunt' from the 7th Dr, as was the bass! The rest was sculpted with nothing in mind really. I Just wanted it to sound Odd.. The New Series really hasn't captured that Classic Synthesizer Sound which is a Shame really. But at least we have the Original.. That is just Stunning.

  • @therealKINDLE -- Right now I'm working on a song that uses online mixing and editing, even though I'm kind of a fan of FL Studio, Sound Forge, Audacity and things of that nature. I'll probably work on it tonight, it's 11:27 PM CST right now, and upload it tomorrow to my channel. Provided I can find some form of a visual to put it to it, whether it be static imagery or animated as in a video of some sort. LOL

  • @therealKINDLE -- Thanks for the offer! That'd be awesome at some point! Right now my keyboards are put up. I just bought a new house 3 months ago and I STILL have lots of things to unpack and get set up. LOL It's kind of funny how I found Ronald Jenkees on here, his real name is Ben Feltes by the way. I was looking at other people's videos of the Korg Triton Extreme 'cause I'd bought one fully loaded. I'm a real big fan of VSTi's though. That's why I have the midi controller.

  • @chrishooper68 Maybe when I'm through the list a bit more (Have a charity GIG comming up ..so busy atm!!) maybe you'd like to collab?

  • @therealKINDLE -- oh wow, that's awesome!

  • @chrishooper68 Thanks! I have a nother 2 Versions done already but they take a lot of work & are time concuming too. Plus I tend to spend my time collaborating with other artists. Thats always fun!

  • AWESOME version! I Love these collections. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
