ODD FELLOW LODGE part3: "ARCHIVES"

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) started a lodge in Hapers Ferry when we were still part of Virginia. The original lodges were located further down-town. This lodge, on Camp Hill, shows up in Civil War photographs. Recently, it has been renovated during and after this video was originally filmed in early 1990s. Documentation & stair addition drawings were measured and drafted by Stowell Architects. The small herb and vegetable organic garden was kept by Walton Stowell Jr. in honor of previous gardens on the site over the years. It is our hope that these traditions are maintained in various forms for the legacy of future generations.
