KickStart is a social enterprise whose primary goal is to alleviate poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. During the summer of 2011, KickStart is embarking on the second year of its 3-year independent impact evaluation study in conjunction with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). Last year, a total of 1,264 irrigation pump buyers were surveyed (614 in Kenya and 650 in Tanzania). This year, the number of households surveyed will double. For two months, Michael Galvin will accompany the evaluation teams as they go out into the East African countryside in search of KickStart MoneyMaker pump users. The videos posted on this site are the stories from the people involved in this work. For the whole story and more go to kickstartblog.wordpress.com
