  • No manipulation of this video occurred. It is exactly as shot. Roosevelt Elk are not intimidated by people. They will approach as the bull did in this video, though walk away if they come too close, particularly in rutting season! Elk Meadow is located beside U.S. 101 north of the town of Orick, Calif. If you can't believe it, please go see for yourself! This is one of the most accessible and fascinating wildlife experiences in America.

  • Actually, this is for real... no photoshopping at all involved. The elk are naturally curious and approach you, though, as Marshall said, be cautious and move away if they approach too close.
