ongawesgone - I beg to differ re: there not being hostages. I was the 12 year old child who was taken at gun and knife point by AIM members when they broke into our homes. You can hear recordings by my Great Uncle Clive, and Great Aunts Girly and Agnes refuting the claims that we were not taken by force - woundedkneestory dot blogspot dot com/ My mother and I are the only 2 of the 11 hostages who were taken. We are only now feeling safe enough to share our story...

AIM is fake. "A good day to die" is a phrase that does not belong on their lips. Most of these people were NOT and are not ready to die like soldiers; if they were they would not be here today. Instead they talk fake politics, trying to be celebrities all over the damn place. Ya'll are fake. Soldiers dont complain about "rights" in war. You just talk crap and make your white friends gush with sentiment. AIM and their ilk are bufoons and entertainers. Read some books on war and power.

AIM did not take anyone hostage during Wounded Knee. They offered to escort the Gildersleeves out before they too were shot at/killed by the Federal Bureau of Idiots; Agnes refused to go so the FBI wouldn't kill anyone else; AIM only took a few boney cattle for lack of any real sustenance. You --headsup-- try to live on beans and coffee for a month and a half, while trying to not get shot. Understand, they took no hostages. FBI broke another treaty, people were cuffed once peace was struck.

@headsup777 avoided responding to Denise for what? Is she another finger pointer like you if so than i can
understand why he consistently avoided responding to her I would too try doing some research in place
of spreading the b.s. hype that the f.b.i./b.i.a projects
-
Dennis has consistently avoided responding to Denise, why don't you try calling Annie Mae's daughter yourself in place of spreading the b.s hype that Dennis projects.
-
sick and tired of all the b.s rhetoric, especially how much damage has been done to culture, spirituality and identity by those affiliated with the murder of Annie Mae and Perry Ray Robinson. This type of hollywood sterotyping really needs to be stop

In his 2004 book, “Ojibwa Warrior” he had the gall to call Agnes Gildersleve “white”, even though se was an enrolled tribal member just like him.

Aim sure never said they were sorry to the 30 or so families whom they took hostage, whose homes and businesses they destroyed, whose pets and livestock they killed, and whose family possessions they stole. They never said “I’m sorry” to an old man who they knocked to the ground and kicked because he was white, even thou his wife Agnes was from Dennis’ own Leech Lake rez.

As your children want to become doctors and lawyers, they may find it dificult. The may hear “well, your parents were terrorist group/ We tell you that now, so you understand it. Tell your children to tell their children this (Wounded Knee 1973) was a very proud moment. Wear that history like a badge of honor. We will never, ever say we were sorry we did it.” ~Dennis Banks~
PEOPLE WHO ACCUSE PEOPLE OF MURDER IN PRINT WITHOUT PROOF SHOULD CONSIDER THEIR LEGAL POSITION... OR AT LEAST LOOK UP THE DEFINITION OF LIBEL FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE TACTICS OF THE FBI DURING THE CORE AIM YEARS AS WITH MANY OTHER GROUPS THAT WERE STANDING UP FOR THEIR PEOPLE'S RIGHTS ARE STILL IN PLAY WITH AIM LEADERS FOR MANY REASONS. PELTIER IS IN PRISON WITHOUT PROOF OF WHAT THEY SAY HE DID... HEARSAY IS NOT PROOF. IN SPIRIT.

@TheMerlinshawk Dennis has said a lot about Annie Mae there are a lot of stories and rumor's surrounding her death but also a lot facts like how the F.B.I, had her hands cut off and used pictures
of them to intimidate
people like Myrtle Poorbear into giving false testimony in a court of law but no matter what you think of Dennis personally understand that this film is about the struggle of American Indians overcoming an
incredible amount hatred and bigotry and standing up for their rights
