One of the original or first-generation Elvis impersonators, Johnny Harra achieved tremendous success in the late 70s with a multi-million dollar contract at the Silverbird Casino and a huge fan base.
He portrayed the mature Elvis for some scenes in the movie This Is Elvis- making him the only impersonator in history to visit Elvis' private quarters upstairs in Graceland. In the 1980s during the height of the "Is Elvis Alive?" hysteria, he was often mistaken for the King by the supermarket tabloids.
Here, in a rare public appearance, Johnny talks about being mistaken for Elvis.
This is the complete interview from the 1992 TV special "The Elvis Conspiracy 2" hosted by Bill Bixby.

I saw Johnny in concert in Little Rock around 1978, not long after Elvis "went away" and he was in good shape and it was a great show. I wish some of you people would knock off the Elvis fat jokes. It was only the last two years of his life where he had a colon problem that caused him to bloat. Look at him in the Aloha special just a few years earlier. That's an illness, not just fat.

That's how you know someone is fucking huge, when they have legendary impersonators. Doesn't change my mind though. I still think nobody can be like Elvis.
