Construction companies don't care about their workers, they just want to have the job done, when digging on a trench that requires a trench box they always say hurry up, its a waste of time to use a safety trench box.... wtf? and if you refuse to do the unsafe job, they get mad at you!

Trench cave in is a very real hazard & threat to the lives of personnel deployed on excavations for the construction industry. Hope this video serves as a clear & mindful reminder to all of those involved in this delicate operation, to ensure your personnel understands well the risks it involves, and the companies for which they work with, ascertains the steps to best protect them, so we can all go home safely, just the way we started the day off!

You can drive around town and see unsafe contruction and developent everywhere you go. An easy one to spot is non harnessed roofing crews. not all roofs require them however the ones that do often overlook it. Road crews have been under such a heavy eye most of them wear the proper vests but shortcut the other hazards. Its pretty easy, not like hunting bigfoot or something ;) You can find a life threatening overlooked or ignored safety hazard on your first day looking in any fairly large city.

Get him out now and when you get done you can come up here and you can watch me fill out the paperwork for a measly 25,000 fine that your multimillion/billion dollar company easily brushes off. For fines so clearly defined as unmistakably unsafe as this should warrant fines in the 10's of millions. maybe when you start making serious dents in companies cherished purse then maybe they will unscrew thier heads and weigh human lives against unsafe deadlines and shortcuts.

A guy died in Iowa when he was in a 10' trench with an inadequate safety box, the company was fined $50,000 and the workers' family was given $35,000 for losses...a paltry sum but they made damn sure to have the right box again

Well, I'm glad you said that. I meant to say MOST construction companies don't care. I know some companies care about their workers but most of them don't. Sorry about that, I didn't made myself clear. I'd say 3 out of 10 companies care. Sir, I would love to work for a company like yours

I disagree with you, I am the Site Safety and Health Officer with a large GC and I can tell you sir the company I am with makes millions by NOT having accidents. My company employees 4 full time safety officers to ensure all employees go home as they arrived.
