difficult, isn it?

Your guitar's sound is awesome!
-
Your playing is pretty good, but it's a little sloppy. Stuff like Soilwork is supposed to be very tight and your style is a little too laidback if you ask me. A little more and stiffer pick attack would probably clean it up nicely.

What guitar are you using??
Great Cover!!

Sick cover dude, I love the sound your guitar has. Check out my Kill the idealist cover if you have some spare time :)

hey nice cover, what are you recording with?

Its all done direct. I play into a GNX4, while my Macbook Pro plays the song via iTunes through the GNX. The line level output of the GNX is then connected to the Macbook via the line-in port. I then record everything using iMovie, while listening via headphones.

hey, killer job, i havent heard much Soilwork but now i think i'll get into them
good song but was that easy cause - comming from someone who plays (bass, 4 years) - it didn't look like a big chalange but sweet job none the less
have you heard of Immortal Souls? if not you should look 'em up, i think you'll like it!

No it's not an overly difficult song. Probably one of their easier songs. It was harder to figure it out correctly then to actually play it. It's also the only metal song that I know of that actually makes use of a Major7 chord. In any case sometimes the easy songs are the ones that come across the best. I posted it because no one else had posted one, and it is a cool song.

Also, technically speaking I'm cheating a little bit, since I'm using a 7 string to play it. Soilwork uses 6 string guitars tuned to standard B. Thus my positioning is a little different since I have the extra high E available.

Hey, if you can learn by ear, can you make a cover of no more angels? i've found absolutely no cover here on youtube of no more angels.
thanks a bunch :)

I was looking at that song last night. Seems Soilwork used either Drop C or more likely standard C tuning for that song/album. I'll work on it, but can't guarantee when I'll have it done. Currently working on a Scar Symmetry song at the moment. Although there are elements of the solo that are giving me difficulty.
