@vcomp1960 There are drugs which can reduce the amount of pain experienced during child birth for those women who don't deliver easily but abortion isn't without it's down side as well. Ultimately the decision should be up to the female. I trust the child came out OK and is the light of your life?

@TheDano1947 No...no...no....I believe in a woman's right to choose. However, I was the one who pushed for having a baby. If I would have known having a baby was that painful, I would have never pushed my wife to have a baby. What I did wasn't fair? It was selfish but it was done out of ignorance not malice.

@vcomp1960 No beef just seems like your pro life and nothing else. If a woman has an abortion she has to deal with it all her life and doesn't need pro-lifers beating her up with guilt trips

@vcomp1960 I sir, am pro-life but the government has no business telling people what they can and can't do with their own bodies, be it drug abuse or abortion. Before legalized abortion, many women lost their live to back ally abortions and if you ban legal abortions, abortion will wind up back in the ally.

@TheDano1947 No kidding.........my wife just had a baby boy. If I would have known the pain she would have had to go through, I wouldn't pushed the issue of having a kid. It was terrible. If there was something growing inside of me, I would definately resent anyone telling me I had to go through this pain. I was pro abortion before the birth, but I certainly was taught a lesson this past summer.

This interview is way old. The book came out in April of 2007 so it is more than 2 years old. The trade paperback was recently published. It is a great read. Entirely well researched and actually very funny and entertaining. Hitchens cannot be debated. He owns. I find Lou Dobbs disingenuous, boring and rather unlettered.
