My father, Bob Brandon, shot the video. He was able to get a ticket last minute and knowing what we (the band) was going to do, I sent him with a video camera. The rest is history. It goes down as one of the best all-time harmless pranks. I still have the original on VHS-C. We still like to say it put Lewis Grizzard in the grave.
The "Tarp" or turf was originally painted for the 1991 Kickoff Classic in the Meadowlands to give the band home field adavantage over Penn State. Didn't work!

Too much culture for UGA (sic) I guess. ;)

That was so awesome. As for "defacing the field," we put down a tarp when we took the field, and picked it up when we left. It's not like we dropped shakers on the field and left them there for someone else to clean up, as Georgia reportedly did at Auburn.

This was a legend that I heard when I was in the band in the late 90's. Cool to actually see it.

I remember when this happened. They were booed not only the entire show, but then they played at a Falcons game later in the year and were booed there as well. Covering up another teams logo on their home field seems pretty disrespectful. But whatever, UGA won the game. I Tech thought they were so clever when they did that lol. Dont forget who runs this state nerds.

I don't think the U[sic]GA rednecks were booing the band... I still don't think they have gotten over the loss of Hee Haw and were booing that. It was just a coincident.
This video was originally provided by Jeff Brandon. I don't know who took it.
