@paulsonj72 oddly enouph the defenders werent fooled at all on the play ass u see they only COMMITED to that side BEFORE the snap. There was not a single defender that bit on the screen. They zoned out and no one played flat on the weak side leaving the entire field open. When 2 linemen seen the ball being handed off they tried to fut off the run but the OL placed good blocks and there comes the touchdown. Smh. Chill out with the overanalysis.

Earlier in the year Boise had run a screen pass for 2 pts out of that formation and after film study OU saw the formation and went with the screen . The fake pass drew defenders to that side and with the back side sealed off the RB had an easy pass to the end zone for 2 and the win. It was a brilliant example of using a counter off of an already successfully used play.

Fooled by the formation and all of the trips side backers were fooled. One of the backers lined up near the middle of the formation and took 4-5 steps towards the fake bubble. The free safety literally hopped 10 yards towards the bubble.

If they just run a sweep then the safety maybe has an angle to the pylon. But that MLB would have read run and had a really good chance and shooting a gap or scraping down the line before the pylon.
