Fuller Elementary gifted students, in small project groups, brainstormed and decided on a new toy to design. They wrote their product description of the new toy and created/conducted a market research about the toy. With the results from their market research, they evaluated and adjusted their ideas. They drew or constructed a working or non-working prototype of the new toy. They created a computer generated Toy Company Catalog which advertised their company page and toy pages. The catalog was used at the Toy Company Trade Show where parents and friends were given the opportunity to see the toys on display in individually decorated booths, to listen to persuasive pitches and demonstrations and to act as mock buyers for retail outlets.
