Solemn High Ambrosian Rite Mass at Rome May 25, 2003 celebrated by Monsignor Vincenzo Vismara, Archdeacon of the Metropolitan Chapter of Milan, Domestic Pelate of His Holiness, Rector Emeritus of the Minor Diocesan Seminary of Masnago, Count of the Three Valleys
I think they are singing the Office of Terce or its
Ambrosian equivalent. I don't know whether this custom obtained when Pontifical Terce was sung before Solemn High Mass in the Roman Rite, but I was struck by the Sunday Blessing with Holy Water before Terce and not after it. Obviously they have different texts for this ceremony and they didn't sing the Vidi Aquam

it seemes to be more ancient than the tridentine mass doesn't it?

it seems that the mass actually started on the third video. aren't the chants and prayers on this and the first videos part of the office for the day? :)

What are they chanting here and in Part 2? My guess is
that they are Psalms. What is the purpose of this in the Rite? Even without understanding, I find this to be most beautiful.
