  • the facts of this war are almost lost to history in our schools. ironically the conditiotions and situations that led to wwI seem to be coming full circle. ethnic racism, war profiteering, and inept politicians. how quickly we forget.

  • The saddest thing is mans inability to learn from the terrible horrors of war. Instead of finding ways to ensure it never happens again, we build more weapons to seek to deter others from that course. Instead, the new innovations end up inflicting yet greater horror and suffering upon mankind. We, as a species, must find ground for the common good, use the lessons, advance ourselves to greater peace and comfort for all.

  • all mothers sons just thrown away what a damn shame, anyone contemplating going to war should be forced to watch this and read forgotten voices of the great war ! nothing great about war !

    superb post very moving

  • Disfigured, disabled WWI soldiers were depicted in 1920s German avant-garde art, like some of the men shown in these photos.

  • World War 1 was a few short pages in my grade ten history book in high school, thanks to the ultimate sacrifice these men made and are still making today someone was able to give them such a short and underappreciated tribute in that text book, to anyone who lost family in either of the great wars or any conflict after, appreciate what we have and what they lost RIP

  • poor men i thank them for thir bravery

  • R.I.P all you unfortunate souls

  • Really very sad.

  • Lest we forget. Thank you for this.
