@Sacredor: I am in no way saying I have the power to put out the candle with pure energy, but I can see where I might suggest that. Remember that, in this video, I describe Qi as intent. In putting out a candle, I am essentially pushing the air. The 'Qi' in all this is my determination, form and explosive power. Its the same thing they teach karate students for breaking boards. In fact, candle punching like this is one of the many training methods for board breaking.

If its the Qi that is extinguishing the candle and not air displacement, then shouldn't it be possible to have the same effect with a barrier between you and the candle?
