@MrMindfucker lol Yup We can hope we always have the internet to try and get some inkling of what is really going on out there.

@MrMindfucker It seems as though they are trying to make it impossible for the Independent Captains to make a lving. Soon all commercial fishing/maybe recreational will be Corporate Controlled. And a guy that wants to feed his family will have to feed them pinfish, lady fish and sail cats. Too much control by too few. If ppl just used common sense there would be no probs. Dont take more than u can eat. Dont waste. But 2 many idiots out there, hence laws. Catch 22 situation. Cant win.

@Traveler2112 The funny thing is the fisheries government wanted to reduce and over regulate those very species you caught before the oil spill down there. Here on the cyrstal coast in nc they have reduced or outlawed everything! That trip is a like a soon to be lost memory for fishermen here where I live and down there. Many here say it's soon to be a lost way of life not because of oil. also you can catch the biggest blue but since you dont have a rec license it's not recordable.
Peace!

@oranse It was a good trip. The trip we went a few days prior to that we nearly filled the wheelbarrow twice. Lots of fried fish nuggets and sammiches!! We each (fisherman) got between 15-20 lbs of fillets the first trip. Three 1 gallon ziploc bags stuffed with fillets each. YUMMMMM!! I gonna try and take a vidcam the next trip with Joe to get some live action. Thanks for watchin,

I miss Florida. My family would never believe the amount of fish you can catch in Florida. Pompano, Mahi Mahi, Snapper, King Mack. I miss Florida!

@powerimprint The night trip wasnt as good as the day trip we went on. We filled the wheelbarrow almost twice on that trip taking home15-18 pounds of fillets each. I grew up on the east coast of Florida but after I left the AF and my wife finished college we settled on the west coast. Dont know how much longer we'll stay here. We are getting the itch to go somewhere else. Our only kid is 3rd yr college now. I here the fishin is real good in Costa Rica. (wife says No Way! lol)
