Yes. The TV series is longer (12 episodes I believe) which allows you to see a bit more of the minor character's back story and life, whereas the movie, you don't as much. I also feel the anime allowed me to get closer to the main characters. However I feel the movie explains Misuzu's condition better. They are also animated by different companies. I prefer the anime (so I may be biased), but I would honestly suggest watching both if you can.

i see a lot of talk of Clannad and AIR, but what of Kanon? In my opinion it is just as sad (if not more on the Makoto arc) than both Clannad and AIR...
