  • a car needs to have more hp because of a smaller engine? WTF!? the power required to achieve a certain acceleration has got nothing to do with the engine size.

    if you need 500 hp, you need 500 hp.. it doesn't matter if you making 500hp from 5.0, 6.0 or 7.0L!

    it's just a lot easier with more cubes.

  • a cobra has 2 have more hp 2 beat a vette cause of displacement 6.1 vs 281 cum on needs a 100 shot raced pleanty of vettes n a big block with 500 vs a lil block 500 ant no race still he should have known betterjust a lil stage 3 port a least a 5 4 a vette a zo6 top of the line vette

  • I agree, my 01 Zo6 was stock except a Procharger and GHL exhaust. It made 501 rwhp with 6psi. Now has rods & pistons, heads and cam, and a APS twin turbo kit @ 12simaking 660rwhp on 93 octane!

  • very nice i have the exact same bike but its geared lower. it tops out about 152mph. u gotta figure that z06 will do about 190mph. it has alittle better top end acceleration. and itso nly up against a 600. put it against a 1000 and it would eat it alive. but vettes are nice.  not dissing on them at all.

    It was a very 50/50 race between the Gixxer and the Z06.

    I can see the Z06 has great top end potential.

  • A C5Z with a procharger at 6psi and longtubeswill make in the low 500 to the wheels max... Ive seen Cobras with just a pulley, intake and tune dyno mid 400s so im sure with the ported blower its aroud 500rwhp. However the Vette has the weight advantage.
