2 bucks will get you 5 gallons of homemade laundry soap. It only takes an hour and you will be set for a long time. All of the ingredients are found in the laundry aisle at the grocery store. You can tweak the ingredients or add essential oils if you like. This is the most simple that works for me.

The other thing I like about this recipe is that it's easier on my skin than many laundry soaps I have bought from the store. Some give me a rash, but because there are no additives or fragrances it doesn't bother my sensitive skin.
