2 bucks will get you 5 gallons of homemade laundry soap. It only takes an hour and you will be set for a long time. All of the ingredients are found in the laundry isle at the grocery store. You can tweak the ingredients or add essential oils if you like. This is the most simple that works for me.

  • You said super baking soda... its Super Washing soda. HUGE difference.

  • @2JobsStillPoorUSA

it is corrected in the annotations

  • seems like it'd be easier to grate the bar before you cut it in half, you'd have a handle

  • @TuttleScott

that's a really good idea i hadn't thought of that thanks!

  • I've been using the stuff from your first batch in my HE washer for over a year, it works great. Neutral smell, no allergic reactions like I get to some detergents.

  • @fellosb

    thanks b

  • @aaronoftexass Is it even made in the USA anymore? I doubt it. if anything it's "packaged and distributed" in the USA. Personally I stopped Tide ages ago... way too damn expensive.... and the powdered Tided I used back then clogged the washing machine's pump costing me a ton to get it fixed.

  • The less chemicals in our lives the better. Commercial laundry detergent makes my shin itchy.

  • use a solar parabolic dish to hear for free

  • Hi, thanks for the video. You will have better results with bee4biz (Google it) because they pay tons more and their support rocks You will earn 20 times more with these guys. They pay you money to shorten links

  • It also makes good dishwashing liquid (not dishwasher, never tried it there). Only takes me like 15 mins or so to make. I made a triple batch which will last me probably 6 mos or a year depending on how many clothes u have. I mix up: 3 bars grated, 3 cps borax, 3 cps washing soda, & I add 3 cps baking soda to stretch it further & helps it clean more but not necessary. It's 1:1 ratio..3cps of everything fills a huge plastic mayonaise jar over half full. Use 2T for reg wash/4T for heavy wash.

  • I make mine up dry, which stores easier, & no slimy mess sitting around taking up space on the floor. I use like 2T of the dry mixture & put it in a plastic cup, add a little water, then swish it around to dissolve it into a liquid form right before putting it in the washer. If Fels Naptha causes rash switch to Ivory soap making sure no added oils/ lotions are in the soap. If you like a scent in your det. just find your fav essential oil & add 3-4 drops to your dry mix & shake.

  • Great video Tutorial

  • That works much better than commercial laundry detergent. Also, give soap nuts laundry detergent a try. They actually grow on trees in South Asian countries.
