He saved Joe Cocker's career, brought the house down at the Concert for Bangladesh, made gospel and bluegrass cool again, and has played nearly every instrument including guitar, bass, piano, organ, harpsichord, french horn, flute.. If Leon is ignored again by the RRHoF again and some crotch-grabbing grunt-rapper gets voted in, the whole HoF thing is a disgrace!!!

Thank you so much for this. I've loved this song since it came out in the 70's. One of his best and really poignant. The guy is downright awesome!

Leon just breaks your heart wide open. Listening to this is like an exquisite pain that knocks you out and then keeps you playing it again and again.

I've seen Leon on stage so drunk he could hardly stand ... but his talent is undeniable.... this is one of the best lonely/heart-broken songs you'll hear ... I wish he would have sung the second verse too.
