yall are ridiculous, yall sit on here and talk trash all day when really only one or two of yall know what the hell you're talking about. both of these cars are mine. the zr1 is a 1990 with 11k miles with chip, exhaust and intake. for a 1990 its fast but nothing like the new zr1. the z06 is a 2007 that was recently sent to lingenfelter.

@TheC4vette "4th gen sixes are weak" I agree almost any f-body V6 is weak...except the Buick 3.8 that come in the later 4th gens, they are VERY capable engines, and can make tons of power. Tim King's V6 Firebird makes 810WHP and runs 8's using a 3800 Buick V6. Better hope that LT1 doesn't run into a modified 3800 f-body.

amen brother.i currently have a 90 zr1. 24K Miles. super fast. i rode in a new zr1. like am vs fm radio. how fast is too fast......? i had a ac cobra that was violent fast....loud...spooky. hold on...shut up...god bless america

@philbrownell05 i dig what you are saying but I thought the oldschool ZR1's ran like 13 flat whereas the C5 Z06 goes more like 12.8. I don't know everything and not gonna look it up (till later lol) but that's what I think. I have never seen an older ZR1 at my local dragstrip but would love to. Sorry to go on but what an awesome swap the LT5 would be for an F-body or even a tbucket???

@camirocz I wasnt knockin the c6 zo6 it gets it done definitely. Just dont see why you hate on c4s id rather have one of those than a c5 any day of the week c5s are plain not as sleek. cooler dash etc sound louder. Id take a c6 over c5. But id take a c4 over both. BTW c4 zr1 more badass than c5 z06. Just like the c4 my parents friends when i was little had a 91 and 93. My dad also had a 91 z28 with the 350 in it. So im partial to those gens.

@camirocz not sayin rhe z06 isnt impressive. id take a c6 over a c5 but i prefer the c4 to both c5 and c6. my parents had friends that had a 91 and 93 c4 when i was little. My dad also had a 91 z28 with the 350. so im still partial to that gen corvette and ofcourse 3rd gen camaro. c5s and c6s very plain to me not as sleek lookin. and a c4 zr1 better than any c5 sorry.

Lets get the facts straight:c5 z06 beats 89 to 95 zr1 in a drag race .Zr1 may have an edge in top speed .Build quality c5 z06 all the way same for handling and braking .zr1a fortune to maintain.c5 z06 much better choice overall thank you.
