the answer to your Q is on the film's wikipedia page. it was initially shelved in 1969, then when bowie got famous it was released on VHS in 1984, and then DVD in 2005

Just because this is good does not mean dub step or electronic music and modern music sucks...thats you're opinion...I like music like this and modern music and oldies...You can't be remote to just oldies music...you should be open to vast amounts of music and learn to like all of it...
