Hacking - BackTrack 4 Linux / VMware - For Beginners

In this video I explain how to download BackTrack Linux 4 R2, and WMware. This video is for beginners.

To Download Backtrack Linux goto:

www.backtrack-linux.org
click on downloads
Locate BackTrack 4 R2 ISO
Click the Download button

To download VMware goto:

www.vmware.com
move your mouse over too "Products"
locate and click on "VMware Workstation"
then click Try for free and fill out the required information.

Linux Commands Used:

To boot backtrack 4, type in startx
If you receive display or configuration errors, you can try and use the command fixvesa press enter then type in startx again and that may fix common display configuration errors.

Commands that I used in the konsole:

airmon-ng

My Interface is wlan0, my chipset is RTL8187

it is important to note that u have to have a usb wireless adapter for vmware or virtualbox to work with the aircrack suite in bt

my wirelees usb works in backtrack 5 but when i type airmon-ng it dosent show me my interface or chipset can any one help me?
