  • is ubuntu for vista only or xp?, i dont wanna stupid about this question but i just never heard about it

  • It is an operating system that can be installed along with XP or Vista Dual Boot. It does not require Windows to run.

  • wut grade video card works best wit ubuntu? and when you partitioned you HD, how much space did you put it on. Cuz its best to have the O.S. on a separte partition than the rest of your data. Thanx in advance.

  • I have an ATI Radeon with only 128Megs of Ram, so anything better than that will do the job fine. I created a separate drive/partition for Linux which is about 25 gig, enough for the OS and the apps to run on it, with plenty of space to spare.

  • Does ATI radeon x1300 graphic cards work for the compiz fusion?

  • Yes it should, since the X1400 works fine.

  • Or if all you do is listen to music, check email, write docs, and use the internet, then Ubuntu is fine. For a free operating system it's not that bad.

  • Yay! PCWizKid is back! Good to see you're doing a series on Ubuntu. Cant wait for the vids to start rolling. 5 Stars!

  • This version of Ubuntu whas the first Linux based OS I had ever used... Oh the memories, at first I thought what the F@#$ is this shit, it crashes alot god dammit. I then realized that I was too stupid to read that I was actually using an alpha release. I use nothing but Linux now.

  • @rimlanin oh there is no mountain, do not worry. i just like to point shit out hehe. ok, peace out

  • Yes, but i was referring to Windows. Its not that big of a difference, i may have made a little mistake, i agree, but that is not a reason to make a mountain of it.

  • @rimlanin oh pal, you obviously got confused by the IT terminology, which isn't terrible, don't get me wrong. But i would like to point out for you that you can't compare Linux(which is a system kernel) to a PC (which is a acronym for Personal Computer). Pretty much everyone who has some kind of computer system at home has an Personal Computer. If it is a self build from compatible components, bought by an vendor like Dell, a Mac or an friggn Comodore64. It doesn_t matter. All PCs

  • Wow your such a rebell. *clap* *clap*

  • And im supposed to care its illegal? For internet activities i disobey the law.

  • Because it's illegal?

  • Im not to poor, but why pay when i can get it for free?

  • Wow stealing software because you're to poor.

    Your brave kid.

  • I did not understand a word you said. And i can just pay a visit to the pirate bay if i want something for free.
