  • How do you say "good morning", "good afternoon" or "we are friends" in nehiyawewin?

  • @eyshaney cree and ojibwa are related languages, and the ppl are related.i would not call them dialects but as two languages as greek and latin are languages(related).i have listed to ojibway speakers and it sounds almost nothin like cree ,yet there are many words that have same meaning. EX) atoskewin means work in cree ,and anohkewin means work in ojibwa.

  • @destructionest You say younger brother: "Nisiimis" That's for younger Brother and Sister. Mother is "Nikaawiy". That's the Proper noun. If you want to say "Mum" you say "Neka." If you want to say older brother, you say, "Nistes", for older siser, you say, "Nimis." I hope that helps. Let me know if you you want to know more.

  • i was just wondering if someone could tell me how you say brother, and mother? i never learned and i wish i would of

  • Cool, I'm fluent in Cree Language "N" dialect. I find it hard to translate the Cree language to English, it never comes out the same meaning.
