This video goes with a review of the Boss RC-30 Loop Station on www.guitartoneoverload.com

The chain used was:
1978 Telecaster (stock pickups)
Morley Pro Wah
Analogman TS9
Boss LS-2 used as clean boost
TC Electronic Flashback Delay
Marshall JMP-1 set very clean with a Monte Allum modded Boss CS-3 compressor in the FX loop straight into a Boss Micro-BR recorder. I have used some of the recorder's reverb.

The overall volume has been leveled for Youtube in Cubase 5 using Voxengo Elephant.

  • Nice demo mate. I got an Rc-30 a week ago, but im having problems with the looping. It doesnt seem to continusouly loop, about a 1 sec delay. Should this be happenin? Have tried everything but it just seems to come to an abrupt end with the first loop.

  • @stpepper82 Hi, are you in tap tempo mode by any chance? If you are NOT in tap tempo mode, the "boundaries" of the loop are determined by the first and the second "tap" on the record pedal (the left one). If you are really precise, there should not be a gap. On the other hand, in tap tempo mode, you have to follow whatever tempo has been "tapped", the boundaries of the loop are pre-determined by said tempo. Not sure I am being clear...

  • nice sound for distorted sound, effects?

  • @rugonie I have used an Analogman modified Tube Screamer (TS9) in the clean channel of a Marshall JMP-1 with Monte Allum modified Boss CS-3 compressor in the the FX loop. I also added some delay using a TC Flashback Delay at some stage.

  • @rbigeard . Cheers mate, yea you are being clear and i have tried the tap tempo modes and picking a single cord to see if it helps but it just seems to cut of for a sec and wont loop continusouly, a gap inbetween loops. Just seems like it shouldnt be happening. Maybe im just being fussy about it but your loops sound awesome.

  • good stuff man these things are fun to play with
