and he needs the disclipline of another maybe to make sure he stays clean and sober and does not trend back to where he does not want to be idk that's just my opinion and i've loved NIN for 12 years but trent is complex in lyrics.

@Plowdal1342431 he is singing about himself, when he was takeing drugs a very bad time in his life, the lyrics spell it out, its a great song!!! The Slip is a very good album!! but ive been a fan for ever i love all the albums!!!!

And DANG, I love the sound and meticulosity to this song. Or sould I say EVERY song by this man. And Mr. Reznor is definitely one of the top 10 most tallented artists that ever lived.
