"Aces" is a single and the title track from the 1991 album, "Aces", by Suzy Bogguss. The album was released on Liberty Records and was produced by Suzy Bogguss and Jimmy Bowen. The album peaked at #15 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #21 on the Canadian RPM Country Albums Chart. "Aces" is RIAA platinum certified and remains Bogguss' most successful album.
The song, "Aces", was written by Cheryl Wheeler. The single was released on Liberty Records and peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
This live performance clip of "Aces" is taken from "The Women of Country", a two-hour television special from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, originally broadcast in late 1993 on CBS and shown later during pledge drives on many PBS stations in the U.S. I believe a shortened one-hour version was broadcast in the mid-nineties in some U.S. TV markets. The special was a tribute to female country music artists past and present, with performances by many popular recording artists from woman's country music.

@EkLarka1 The "Women In Country Music Special" originially aired on CBS - not ABC. Later, during pledge drive time it was reran on PBS station's throughout the country and a double VHS copy was released to the public not long after the special aired on CBS. (I have one - or should I say 2)

there is not one so called super star in female country music today that could give half the performance of this... it is so sad the state of country music today--- should be so obvious to most people when the most talented are in their 50's...  of course that what happens when try to appeal to all and its all about money, and image... lets get taylor to cover this song by suzy... what an embarrasment that would be...
