Emilio at Homestead - TTE Track Record.wmv

Emilio Cervantes sets the NASA TTE track record in my Miata. Now I have a much higher (lower?) bar to chase. This broke the previous record by 1.5 seconds! The car is a 1993 Mazda Miata with a 2000 engine, Tein Flex coilovers, Racing Beat hollow front anti-sway bar, 949 Racing 6UL 15x8" wheels with Hoosier 205/50/15 R6 tires.

So Josh, you state it has a 15x8 wheel but runs a 205/50/14 inch tire. Is this the unique secrete to the speed? I'd love to be there to see the tire guy mount a 14 inch tire on a 15 inch wheel...

i wish they sold performance transmissions for the old miata's. i wish i could take a built t-5* that a ls1 engine uses but i don't have the cash to do that conversion lol!
