Today would have been James Yancey's (Jay Dee, J Dilla....) 36th birthday. I cant believe he's been gone for four years now. James, we love you so much. Keep the angels bobbin' their heads to your music my man. Rest Easy.
"So Far To Go" instrumental (ft. Common) from his Shining album.
RIP Jay dee. Best in the game. Wish he was still around to put lil Wayne and drake back in their wheelchairs...

The thing that's crazy is I saw Jaylib live at the LA Madvillainy release party in '04. And like a year later he was deathly ill. At that show he was healthy as a horse! It was a great show too.

You got a nice vinyl collection. Yeaaahhhhh.....I've always loved that beat, the way the sub bass hits with the kick. It's a water flow BEAT => R.I.P. Dilla
