Paseo corto - Héctor Infanzón

"Paseo corto" viene en un álbum de piano solo que contiene sólo improvisaciones, se llama "Impulsos". Hector Infanzón es un pianista y compositor dedicado al jazz y a la música "culta" o "clásica" [no me gustan las etiquetas, pero hay que explicar qué hace]. Héctor es, como yo, un chilangófilo (un amante de la ciudad de México) y en su más reciente album "Citadino" lo hace notar, este homenaje consiste en compartir mi amor por la ciudad de México contigo. Las fotos son de lugares que me gustan mucho de la ciudad: las calles San Juan de Letrán, Eje Central, Allende, el MUNAL, Justo Cierra, todas del centro histórico de la ciudad, y el museo Tamayo; también incluí mi otro hogar, la Ciudad Universitaria de mi alma mater, la UNAM. Espero que disfruten el slide, porque video, pues la verdad no es. Al final incluye una foto extra, ya no por amor a la ciudad de México, sino también por amor al paseo, es una foto que tomé desde el bus de Church ave., en Brighton, Inglaterra, por eso todo se ve al revés.

"Paseo corto" [short walk] is a bautiful piece contained in the album called "Impulsos" [urges], which is a beautifull collection of piano solo improvisations. Héctor composes and plays jazz and "clasical" music (I don't really like tagging music, but I was making a point). Héctor loves Mexico City --and so do I-- in his last album "Citadino" [citizen, or "cityly" or "city-wise"] Hector reveals his love for our beautifull city (Mexico) in some great tunes. This is a homenage to him, I'd love to share our love for the city with you, this slide (because is not an actual video) shows fhotos of some of my favorite streets and places: San Juan de Letrán, Eje Central, Allende, MUNAL (an arts museum), Justo Cierra, Tamayo museum and mi alma mater one of the best universyties of the world: UNAM. At the end I included a photo I took on Churh ave., Brighton, England, this last one is not because my love for Mexico city, but bucause of my love for walking.

He's been to Europe, I hope some day he coudl be in Australia too. Eugenio Toussaint, another marvelous Mexican pianist and composer, was once in New Zeland, Iv'e got a videos of his trio in my channel, he was a bit near. Thanks for watching.
