Rover Tomcat takes on Daytona racers and upsets a few American drivers

This is one lap from the 2007 CSSCC races at Daytona, Florida. My car was shipped from Southampton and I flew out 4 weeks later to meet up. I got to race around Daytona circuit for three days competing with anything and everything, although mainly Porsches.
Once I got into the stride, I caught up with the Jaguar E Type lightweight and he spent many laps holding me off but never managing to lose me. The American driver was shocked that a Rover could compete against him.
Daytona is far from smooth as you can see from the camera shake and flat out around turn 4 is scary when you are bouncing along.

I had won the series for that year the day before, and had no need to run hard and tear up equipment.

A I am not American I was born in Hertfordshire,

B It is not a lightweight far from it.

C I have to run crossplys in my VINTAGE group.
