teamgoldrush has no f'ing idea what he is talking about. the mother hips are one of the last great harmonizing bands on the planet. all tim and greg to is harmonize. listen to tim and nicki bluhms stuff. this was definitely an off the cuff gig but to say the boys in the mother hips cant harmonize is completely out of line.
Al has retained his voice and guiter expertise. This song has many chords and many seperate parts. Sounds like a guiter is not in tune. Teamgoldrush1 was exactly right. This was an off the cuff gig and the band was just not ready. He was having to show them the chords. lol. Thanks you for posting this.
Al was clearly having a bad night here, I think he was having some trouble with the 12 string. He can still play really well though, and he's retained most of his voice remarkably well
No - the band was a mess. Al wasn't sure what part to sing, because the band probably did not give any details before the performance or simply sucks at doing harmonies. Al is a pro that knows all parts of harmony like the back of his hand. Unfortunately when you deal with musicians who are not good at knowing or singing harmony parts - it can be a mess. I know from personal experience myself.

1:28: Jardine was a mess. Perfect example. Couldn't hit the first chorus without screwing up.
