@NeatNetwork. I know a lot of Americans think everyone wants to be American. In truth a lot of people do. There are patriots everywhere. I believe that a lot of the globe will become westernized. But they also will cling onto some of their traditions. I think not everything will become American, as there will be a multi lateral power structure. That is a good thing IMO.

@aswanus909 It is very strange that you can buy a car that is assembled in Mexico or Canada and is still considered American. Is that how we are beginning to see the world? Everything is American even if ANOTHER country utilized its resources and labor to create it.

What people hate is that competition on the basis of superior products has been replaced by "crony capitalism" and competition in buying elections & politicians & lobbying for favorable legislation & policies.

Laissez faire capitalism is a proven success in building nations wealth.
It is a proven failure in ensuring a fair distribution of that wealth and preventing abuse of individuals.
Intelligent, pragmatic and civilized nations will have a free enterprise system but with laws & regulations to curb abuses and common sense social safety nets.
