@bestamerica Believe it or not, most cars from the '70s wouldn't pass current crash test standards, though the front bumpers were rated for 5 mph; today's are only required to take 2.5 mph. From what I remember, those huge bumpers protected the car well, but always ended up a bit cockeyed and cost a fortune to fix, so they were a mixed blessing. At least you could replace a headlight, lens and all, for $2.99, not the $600 it can cost these days.

Beautiful.

@26highstreet Not back then it wasn't. It was a normal family car, normal size.

Rather have an old 70's honda or toyota.

this car was so strong body, 2 strong bumpers, heavy weight, and cheaper in 1970's,,,
today 1990 to 2011 all vehicles are so weak bodys, 2 weak bumpers, plastics / rubbers, light weights, and costy too much RIPOFF,,,
damn dirty nasty RIPOFF

Bigger, elegant and a land yacht. That's what a car must be.

how sad is this $4688 in 1975 is equivalent to $19,506.14 in 2010 in the year 2010 the 19,500.00 car your lucky to buy something like a ford focus or Chevy aveo maybe a Toyota Carola you most surely wont buy anything near the magnitude of that in a new car and for $4688 in 2010 that would be a car that would be maybe 10 or 15 years old if that.
