The DEM is actually LiDAR derived. I believe I made this video at 1m res. Draped with an image from Google Earth. Made using ERDAS Imagine Virtual GIS, which is pretty sweet. If using ERDAS just make sure the DEM is in TIFF or IMG format and you should have no trouble. And of course the true detail (res) gets compromised when trying to make a video that can be put on YouTube. The original file size of this clip was about 800MB and I brought that down to around 15 MB or so.

What DEM data did you use. I want to make something similar but need hi res data. Can LIDAR be used?
