Emotional members of parliament began a debate on a motion seeking the withdrawal of Kenya from the Rome statute that binds the country to the international criminal court processes. The move by the mps comes a day after the International Criminal Court prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo named six people including four politicians as key suspects behind the 2008 post election violence. Angry contributions from mps followed the pattern that greeted the release of the names of suspects with politicians invoking tribes and regions as part of their defense of those named by Ocampo.

  • im bringing a new debate in parliament...it should be made illegal to make a joke or laugh while in motion while Kenyans are still languishing in poverty and regrets...being charged does not mean they are guilty, why now they want to stop the hague...its nonstopable and its them mentioned to prove themselves innocents.

  • @karuitha interesting to see ur sudden change of sides. You have been singing all along that ruto should go to the Hague.U did not expect one of ur own to go ah?

  • ,,,,Who voted for these idiots!! Do they think they own kenya? Kenyans don't vote anyone supporting these thugs come 2012. As a matter of fact vote for new and young faces come 2012. We have a new constitution don't let these ignorant old guards manupulate and play with your mind. NO ONE IS TALKING ON BEHAVE OF THE DEAD AND THE IDP. why don't you use the same energy to campaign for the IDP. You shall not run from justice come rain come sunshine. You shall pay one way or the other.Better pray!!
