@zanister1 everyone who doesn't think of absurd solutions. In the car you are not supposed to take your hands off the wheel, so the only solutions companies should study should be based on voice input and eye tracking. Even menus with toggles on the wheel would be distracting.
Fiat+Microsoft have a great voice recognition for controlling a phone, so i don't see why that cannot be used on navigation systems :-|

The almost horizontal screen the user must touch to activate functions doesn't seem readable from sitting position to me.
Is it just me thinking this project is a total waste? When you have ever had time to gesture while driving?!
Much much better would be an eye-tracking input system, there's one from Italians that looks very very promising and precise!
