  • Thanks for the video! I've been wondering how to do it cause I'm just starting. But is it bad that my first book of shadows is a notebook? I couldn't really make one. Btw I like your altar.

  • @jamesjad11 Your Book of Shadows can be anything you want it to be. If you prefer to use a notebook thats perfectly fine. Especially if you're first starting out. Your practice will be evolving a lot as you learn more so its usually a good idea to wait until you feel more established in your practice before using a big fancy book.

  • Would this work for a much larger tome

  • @twilighthascome i'm not sure. i dont think the board would hold/support a book that had more than 500 pages

  • Where did you get the big box of parchment? And how much is it, roughly?

  • @ZombyFrogg I got it at Office Despot and I think it was around $30

  • A good way to make a Book of Shadows is to use a three-ringed binder so you can add and remove pages as you wish. When you feel it is complete, transfer it to a book. These types of books can be found in Metaphysical Books and Supplies stores. Hope this helped!

  • Did you know you can buy a metal ruler called a Deckle edge ruler that will give you that torn edge look you are trying to accomplish by folding and licking? I have one and it works very good, and fast. Also you could wad your paper up and then soak it in some strong coffee then unfold it from the wad, and let the pages dry out separately and it will look really old and authentic. Just a tip from an old woman that just happened upon your video....

  • @jamesjad11 Most of my first books were hardback notebooks I bought at college for a couple of pounds, but I am considering making a proper one soon, but carry on using the notebooks for all the study I do with my runes, tarot, dreams and spellwork :) Blessed Be )O(

  • could i use yarn as an alternative to the embroidery thread?

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay (clap clap clap)

  • what is this for? not to be rude.

  • Do you have to use parchment paper? I'm a new Wiccan.... so what kind of spells could and should I use? Where would I be able to find them.

  • @LilPandabear1 I want one.... Sooo very badly. Because black cats bring good luck.
