Cheeky pony bucking!

So, this is Smokey, he's a 12.2 Welsh section B and is pretty energetic and going strong considering he's going on for 18 this year! He's seriously the best little pony in the world and I love him, he actually never fails to make me smile and I'm sure you are just by watching this video!

*PLEASE READ* On a serious note: Hello guys, this is MY pony who I have ridden myself so know what he's like. This is a girl called Lucy riding him who is 11 years old and who I have taught to ride myself, at the age of 16 (I have just turned 17) and she is just learning to do poles in canter and mini jumps etc. so no crit. whatsoever on the rider, she sat them very well! He is ridden in a parelli halter as I have worked with this pony for 7 years now doing so and a year ago started riding in the halter so he knows what he's doing so don't blame it on that. He is a rescue pony who was neglected by his owner in our field for 9 years, she turned him away and us against him saying we couldn't do anything with him other than put a headcollar on ONLY to lead him into different paddocks. With smokey being 9 at the time and having had lamenitus for those 9 years he was with his previous 'owner' letting him be a lawnmower was not an option so we started doing work with him, we then told her we were and she had no say on the matter, it was for his health and she owed us a serious amount of money. Then, 3 years ago she said we could finally do stuff, she never visited him but said we could, that's when he started getting ridden - he used to be left 11 months of the year out in a field and one month of the year her kids would jump on resulting in them getting bucked off (He has done bigger, and worse, he is VERY clever) and then out in the field he would go again so that's all he's ever known. Its taken me 3 years riding him for him to understand he can't buck all the time other than for fun, he used to do it purely to get his rider off. But today (in this video) He was doing it because we did pole work and he loves his jumping! Also, the weather - it was wet and windy all day, it calmed down when Lucy rode him and the ground wasn't slippy as I left it until it was dry enough. He bucked pureley out of FUN. He is a HAPPY pony and if you comment otherwise than you clearly don't know how to read a horses body language. I would do nothing to hurt this pony, he has more problems than a yard full of horses put togethr and I have stuck by him, he costs me more than he's worth but I still pay for him and I have done everything to make him mine, I have worked so hard to get him to be where he is and a few bucks, to me is okay! I'd rather see him bucking like this with his tail up raher then stuck in a stable on box rest as an old grey boy that's upset with the world! Haha, also - he has NOT had lamenitus for the 9 years we have had him so that's not the reason either.

P.s Lucy knows as well as I do that she needs to work on his hands when he bucks but thumbs up for her not falling off when she's had one proper lesson and the rest from me!

she is a good little rider, so credit to you on that one too :-) and he is definatly a happy little pony, you can see that in this video, he has not got an unhappy look on his face at all :-) xxx
