My truck woodgas generator being reconfigured for use with a stationary generator. Testing here, and setting up auto feed, flaring into the shop barrel stove. Yes I do have a co2 detector in the room. The noise in the video is caused by my footsteps, the water heater blower which powers the system at 1" water column, and the last really loud noise is the auto loading hopper motor. I am always surprised at how cameras pick up so much sound. This unit is using about 25-30 pounds of wood per hour in the video.

  • You can compress the gas, but not enough to burn in a car, this is a demand process and the fuel cell fits on the back of a truck. There is no smell out the tailpipe, its similar to natural gas in that way.

  • Вы охлаждаете газ для того, чтобы мог работать вентилятор? Весьма оригинально. Это позволяет подсасывать газ из генератора. Я планировал использовать диафрагменный насос с мембраной из термостойкой силиконовой резины.

  • just curious, is there any way you could compress this wood gas into a large propane tank to use in a car?? i would like to try that if its possible. or is there a way to turn tree sap into a burnable fuel?? i wonder what pine sap would do? i would guess it would smell nice like santas hotrod. not joking about the tree sap thing. if you know of a way to do this please let me know.

    thanks for reading :)

  • Splendid setup :) .

I know what you mean about the camera's perception of noise. It really does make things seem a lot louder than they really are.

It will be great to see more of your work - with the generator being fed by the gas output of your system.

This is something I would really like to try on my farm :) .
