how freaking else are we gonna learn?

I suggest beginners to do studies of simple shapes first before moving onto the constructions of simple shapes to represent human body.
Draw cube, cylinder, etc with a single light source hitting on it. Draw it in any angles, try different light source angle. When you feel good about drawing that. Moving onto constructions for figure drawing.

I really appreciate this video. You were saying drawing from the shoulder first limits you. And your SO right. That's how I draw but now I see a way that makes more sense. So thank you for your help.

I like what you do with the construction of boxes. That technique helps me see the human anatomy in a more shapely form than circles and curves.

wow this i great, everything you said I completely understand because I did it that way. This is great and very informative, really an eye opener. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your kind words! Even my own approach isn't flawless -- I'm constantly finding different ways to go about solving things. There's never a single approach that works ALL the time, so always be skeptical of EVERY approach. Try them, and see how they can be improved!

This is really cool :) Does anyone know what software that is? I don't recall seeing that circular menu interface.
