The Ohio State Reformatory

Back in July of 2006 during the annual family reunion, we took a tour of the Ohio State Reformatory, which is known to be haunted. For 50 bucks, you can walk around in the dark looking for ghosts. Here are just a few pics of what we saw. Enjoy. This prison is located in Mansfield, Ohio (more)

Poo hon first of all I want to say I think the prison was awesome & so was the background music. I'm fairly big into Halloween sound effects it gets a little crazy around my house with all those noises during the haunted season but & I don't want to say anything negative but..I don't believe orbs are ghosts I believe they're dust particles apart from that I loved it & thanks for sharing!!!

Yeah I think of lot it was dust. Although in a few of the pics, I think there is something a little bit more. Like the pic of the window, those were two different cams. There is also a figure in one of the pics behind the dust. That place was just plain ole creepy!

They showed us around and hot spots at first, then they let us go search where we wanted to.

I went to the Mansfield State Reformatory and it wasn't scary at all yeah it's haunted but alot of places are. Thats awesome seeing " Brooks was here" and " so was Red that was one of my favorite parts but then Shawshank Redemption is one of my top 5 movies of all time so that was a really cool for me too see!

alot of that looked like dust or a dirty lense...that was no orb even if so orbs are dookie next to evp apperations emf responds etc.....

lukesteak..if you ever watch the show ghosthunters...on scfi, they were here for a investigation and they carried around a marker so they could remember what cells, they had been in, and that is what the black X is.

I was there about a month or so after you posted this comment on a field trip and it was still in the ceiling when I was there.

Shawshank Redemption was a great movie :D
