One of my favorite things to watch in Montreal: if we get too much snow, the city will physically take it out of the streets and dump it in special snow dump sites. This operation involves an intricate choreography of big machinery, all of which I managed to catch for this film. Sorry if things are a little dark, but by my house this takes place at night, and it tends to be so cold that outdoor filming was out of the question. (The subtitles are in German, but you will get the point even if you don't read German.)
i always love watching these snow removal videos!!

Love Canadian style snow removal. Wished I'd had it back in Boston.

Same here in Norway.. Can get snow loads that varies from 2 feet to 7-8 feet during the winter, and if we did not have that efficient equipment, we `ll be unable to drive cars..

I didn't understand the German text but the video explained it all.
Wonderful to see how well we do at snow removal.
A few years ago, Buffalo NY was snowbound and Toronto sent works crews and trucks They worked so efficiently, the Buffalonians called them
the Snow Eaters. They couldn't figure out how the Toronto crew got rid of all that snow so they thought maybe the crew ate it!

Wow!!! Now THAT is what I call a super smart snow removal operation. One truck fills up and the next one is right there ready to go.

C'est impressionnant même quand on est habitué de les voir régulièrement! Imaginez quelqu'un qui n'a jamais vu de neige de sa vie! Il doit être renversé!
