*kayla was silent as she cooked*
Kayla:dinners done..im not hungry so i'll be upstairs.
*kayla walks upstiars but she goes into elizabeths room...now the baby monitors on so everyone can
hear*
Kayla:hello baby girl
*she was up so kayla picked her up..and sat on the rocking chair*
Kayla:i'll never let anything ever happen to you...ever. I wont let you go through anything i had to.
You are lucky you know that? lucky that you dont have to deal with this stuff yet...especially boys.
stay away from them! unless you find a good one, like unle jo, or uncle nick, or daddy. They're the
type of boys you want. I promise right now liz, that im not gonna let ANYTHING EVER, EVER happen

*Elizabeth smiles at kayla*
Kayla:oh crap! the monitors on!
*she hears laughter comming from downstairs*
Kayla:wow...i feel dumb. Well Liz...lets go check on your brother.
*kayla walks into kevins room to find that hes up too*

*she holds both of them..in both arms...hard right?*
*kayla walks downstairs to see everyone eating*

*kayla lays the twins out on a blanket*
Kayla:*shes wearing shorts...so she traces her scar from her sisters boyfriend...he was horrible to her..
images of him beating her and throwing her against the wall raced through her head...a single tear
went down her face*
Erica:how are they kayla
*kayla quickly wipes her tears*
Kayla:good...
*kevin gets done and sits next to kayla, by the twins, on the floor*
Kevin:you alright?
Kayla:im fine....sorry.
Kevin:no...whats wrong?
Kayla:i keep thinking about my sisters boyfriend...and how i have ALL these scars from him...few
people know what im going through...i never complain about it, ever. I know things happen for a reason..
but its just hard. I've had nightmares about it forever...it never leaves me.
*kevin gives kayla a friendly hug and whispers in her ear...it was something simple..but it made kayla

*kayla started crying so hard...she didnt know why...(a/n:but i mean...we all would am i right?).

*kevin just holds on to kayla...kayla WAS pretty much his little sister...he HATED seeing her like this*
Kevin:*wipes kaylas tears*now...dont cry...everythings okay.
Kayla:*whispeing*i think nicks mad at me...
Kevin:he thinks that song was about him.
Kayla:what?! it wasnt!
Kevin:i'll get him.
*kevin walks to the room everyone else is in...and nick comes back by kayla*
Kayla:that song wasnt about you...im so sorry if you think that.
*nick stayed silent*
Kayla:it was about my friend...she went through something, she had a bad breakup...she turned to
alcohol...so i made that song for her. Im so sorry if you thought it was about you. It wanst...i love
you too much.
*nick hugs kayla*
Nick:im sorry i thought that...i love you too
*nick wipes the rest of the tears on kaylas face*
Nick:why were you crying?
Kayla:my sisters boyfriend...he abused me...i still get afraid, i still have nightmares. I didn't think
it would carry from all the way to this age...
Nick:he did this to you when you were 7?
Kayla:yeah...and my sister wouldnt belive me...she left with him.
*FYI:they're still sitting*
*nick wraped his arms arround kayla*
Nick:im so sorry you had to go thorugh that
Kayla:its not your fault
Nick:i know...but still no body should have to go through that
*kayla cries and scoots closer to nick...he tightens his grip on her*
Nick:it'll be okay.
Kayla:*still crying and whispering*i know...i still have you.
Nick:*smiles to himself*we all love you here, remember that.
