  • INF in the NG are not the same as INF in the Regular Army.

  • @KAF20111 I'm going to go way out on a limb here and guess that you've never deployed..

  • @vanloon21 ........my DD214 proves you wrong on 3 counts, im gona go way out on a limb and guess your a 31 y/o PFC in the NG "INF" with 3-6 years in.

  • @KAF20111 SSG with 9 years in. Tours in both theaters.. We've always been well respected by any soldier or marine we served with- whether they were reservists or special forces... Typically those who have a stigma against guardsmen have never brushed shoulders with one in theater. Do we have disgusting fat-bodies? Yup. Do we have some of the best and brightest. You bet.

  • my unit went in and improved relations with the locals far beyond that of regular army, they came in after us and had to pull out of 2 cops for causing those same relations to fall. OH and they lost alot more men than we did. its sad that they did its not something to boast about. BUT that is one instance im sure others have stories where regular army did better but in at least this one instance it would appear that the ng did fine job on at least that occasion both deserve respect as do all

  • @razgrizcl I have had similar experiences. But you're right - that goes both ways. The bottom line is, we're all the same when we deploy.

  • lol USAF in the 'fight'...

  • thisis what community college does to civilians they lower theryre brain to a fuckn librerals standard.

  • @colossus3200 Brother there are a ton! Less than 1 percent of the Army is Ranger qualified, so that in itself speaks volumes. That wasn't what I was trying to say, but I'm sick of people knocking the guard. Yeah there are plenty of shitheads, but I've also served with some damn good soldiers from there as well. That's how it is in every unit of every branch, these guys just get a bad rap because they're part time stateside. There's no part time in the box, and that's what counts in my book.
