@razoorsharp I’m on the meds and its fine but I just need to make sure your in control with it. Doesn't numb the brain it stimulates it why its a stimulant drug it self like caffeine and chocolate. Now under the disability act you might be able to make adjustments for the child’s distraction cause if there distracted then they might end up adding to the level of distraction. You just got to keep trying different things until you get the right balance. Good Luck!

If you're in South Orange County California, a REALLY good doctor in line with this same philosophy and method of treatment is Greg Olsen in Lake Forest, CA! 949-859-5192
He has saved me and many other patients when the "medical" community had nothing left to offer -- and he's NOT anti-medicine, just very balanced!

@razoorsharp I'm not sure if I had ADHD or ADD but I have always loved to game. I would love to be accommodated for my attention deficit but the problem is that there is very few resources available in many cases to make that a feasibility. How then can I function in place where I need to sit down for extended periods and work through problems in a textbook or make associations with an author of a book as I read along rather than get carried away by day dreams and my imagination.

Pills for ADHD only numb the brain so it does not wish to stimulate itself to the point of extreme, thats why iam so against it, dull down your brain so other people will be less overwhelmed orirritated? come on.
Give an ADHD person 1 thing to do with alot of stimulation and you have a quiet kid. thats why so many ADHD kids have a love for video games and are often very very good at it.
Relaxed people often cant take the stress of fast games and shooters. ADhd's have no problem with it

2: so because the brain seeks so many stimulation they get busy and seem tireless, this results in chaotic behavior and quietly sitting down to study a book intensly is not stimulating the brain enough so they get anxious and kind of restless, the book or whatever looses it's interest very fast and they want to move on.
Authistic kids have the opposite their brains are overstimulated as it is, so the slightest input is often not understood or too much for them to handle, so they go inwards

some kids who have from themselves an attention problem they can do some training to raise their attention span.
ADHD is not that you cant concentrate.. you are just very swiftly distracted to something else and have the natural need to have more stimulation in the brain.
Studies show it's not an attention problem really the busyness comes from the brain getting too few stimulation because of this the ADHD person will automatically make up for it by over stimulating the brain.

Not entirely true.
For that view to be true, you'd have to agree that every child has the same genetic disposition for attention.
If you agree with that, its inane.
Otherwise, you'd understand than that different children will have different attentional abilities than others, and as a result some will be on the worse extreme end. And that is ADHD
ADHD may be biologically orientated, and may be heightened or highlighted by the environment
it's all about moderation man.
What's truly pathetic are the parents who let their kids play video games for endless hours and spend little to no time with them because they themselves don't know what to do with their own children.
