with the length of the threadded bar and press we can fit another cheese in ontop of the 7 we already have so I've spent the last few weeks very slowly putting another together. I think all in all I'd say its taken 1.5-2 hours from start to finish and cost very little.

  • i take it you still use M3.5 x 16 stainless screws ?????? so i take it on top lats is 3.5m drill hole but wot size hole was on bottom lats cheers neil

  • @idaveuk yup. same screws. The hole at the bottom was hand drilled to 50-75% of thickness, messing up and drilling through 4 times! Not bad. anything over 50% will do to stop the splitting.

  • @MrServecool .I think i used a 2.5mm for the whole thing. 3mm at most.

  • if you dont have surface planer can lats just be cut on a bench saw / table saw cheers neil

  • @idaveuk Cheers Neil your right. The finish from the table saw was actually pretty good and I would have wasted less. A warning though as at that size you probably need to take any guards off!
