The Apple II's have a cassette input / output for loading and saving programs in an era before disk drives. You can use that port as input and digitize the audio into RAM memory. 64k gives about a minute and 10 seconds of recording time.
How'd you do that? Does your 1/4" cable have an adapter to plug into the apple so that your basically recording the line-in sound? I didn't know apple IIe's could record sound like that. Coolness.
